NOTTINGHAM HEN PARTY IDEAS
Planning a Nottingham Hen Party? Home to Sherwood Forest, and Robin Hood, Nottingham is fast becoming one of the top cities in the UK for an unforgettable hen weekend. Packed with trendy restaurants, bars, and sights to see, it’s a guaranteed winner for a hen weekend in the midlands. We’ve compiled a little guide for all you lovely ladies to peruse, full of top tips for planning a Nottingham hen. So whether you’re a bride, maid of honour, or a bridesmaid, kick back, and check it out!
Now when you think of Nottingham, the first thing that springs into most people’s head is the famous Robin Hood, and his band of merry men. Although you can still visit Sherwood Forest if you fancy a trip to one of Nottingham’s most well-known sights, that’s by no means all that this fabulous city has to offer. Nottingham is home to the UK’s oldest live music venue (perfect for a bride who loves her gigs!), is a top city for shopping (it actually came above Newcastle and Leeds in a 2011 poll of the UK’s top shopping cities!), and is also home to three of the worlds oldest pubs!
If you want to shop till you drop on your Nottingham hen weekend, then head down to Hockley with your bridal party. Take a browse around Nottingham’s Victoria Shopping Centre (have a butchers at the Victoria Market on the top floor for a browse of some quirky market stalls, and a rummage for some hidden gems!), the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre or The Exchange Arcade. If hitting the shops on a hen weekend isn’t quite your cup of tea, then why not kick back at one of Nottingham’s trendy bars for a cheeky cocktail.
If you fancy a cheeky cocktail to whet your appetite before hitting the clubs on your hen night, then why not try a hen party cocktail masterclass in one of Nottingham’s City Centre bars? However, if you’d prefer just to drink some cocktails rather than make them, then look no further: if you’re a fan of all things jazzy, then head down to Tilt on Pelham Street for some creative cocktails and some blues music, or if you fancy a drink with a view, take a trip to Saltwater, a fabulous bar on Forman Street, at the Cornerhouse, with a huge selection of drinks to choose from, and a heated outdoor terrace. For nightclub’s to hit up on your Nottingham hen night, try Bodega, nor Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms for a hen who loves her live gigs, or head down to Pryzm for a hen night spent boogieing away to some chart-toppers with your best girlfriends!
If you want to check out some of Nottingham’s most famous sights on your hen weekend, then check out Nottingham’s ‘Ye Olde Jerusalem Inn’ – supposedly the UK’s oldest Inn -, head inside to see how it’s carved into the caves surrounding it! If your bride is a history buff, check out the ‘City of Caves’ or Nottingham Castle. If you fancy more of an active hen weekend, why not try a hen party boot camp, or a hen party dance class to really kick off that East Midlands hen with a bang!
Why not try a Salsa Dance Party or a Burlesque Dance Party, all arranged by us in Nottingham City Centre venues, to get you ready to hit the dancefloors on your hen night, and really make your Hen do in Brighton truly special.
